THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE ROLE

A community need.
A personal commitment.

Mikell co-founded M2 Mobility around a straightforward belief: convenient transportation should reach communities that are too often overlooked. As Chief Executive Officer, he leads the company’s direction, partnerships, and business development, bringing together public-service experience and hands-on entrepreneurship.

A visit to a smaller Georgia college town turned that belief into action. Seeing students make everyday trips on foot, he recognized an opportunity to bring the convenience he enjoyed in Atlanta to a community with fewer options. He purchased shared mobility vehicles and brought them to that community—an experience that helped shape M2’s focus on practical access, affordability, and responsible growth.

From a personal interest to a business

While serving as a corrections officer with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, Mikell found that riding around Atlanta offered freedom, convenience, and a way to unwind. Visiting his best friend at college in a smaller Georgia city raised a bigger question: how could students in smaller communities enjoy the same convenience at a more accessible price? Bringing vehicles there gave him direct experience turning that idea into a service. Today, his vision for M2 includes shared mobility and autonomous delivery that make everyday destinations and essentials easier to reach.

Leadership built through service

Mikell entered the Lovejoy Police Department’s cadet program at age 13. He later became a paid cadet, Chief of Cadets, and Program Director, leading approximately 15 cadets. His responsibilities included fleet operations, equipment management, and code enforcement—early experience in organizing people, managing resources, and being accountable to a community.

Experience in demanding operations

At the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, he served in corrections, the specialized response team known as the Wolfpack, and behavior-management and mental-health housing units. His background also includes GardaWorld’s Alpha Response Team supporting ICE operations in Arizona, service as a jailer and officer in charge at the Butts County Sheriff’s Office, and his current work with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. These roles developed his ability to coordinate teams, work under pressure, and take responsibility for decisions.

An entrepreneurial outlook

Mikell has pursued Business Administration studies at Southern Crescent Technical College and also serves as CEO of CERT Corporation, a corrections-focused laundry and uniform-service business. He brings that combination of practical leadership and business education to M2’s development. Building lasting security for his family and creating opportunities for others remain personal motivations behind his work.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR M2’S PARTNERS

For Mikell, trust starts with understanding each partner’s needs: affordability for students, dependable operations for property owners, and clear commitments for public agencies. His priority is to grow M2 through relationships the company can support with responsible planning and follow-through.

THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE ROLE

Clear standards.
Dependable execution.

Marvin brings family-business experience, a firsthand understanding of campus life, and public-safety leadership to M2 Mobility. As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, he leads fleet planning, deployment coordination, and the operating processes that support reliable service.

Marvin grew up working alongside his father in Marvin and Son Enterprise LLC, a vending and janitorial business serving settings that included small technical and career colleges. He also attended a Georgia university from 2020 to 2021. His experience as a sergeant at both the Clayton County and Butts County Sheriff’s Offices, including service on Clayton County’s Special Response Team, brings a disciplined focus on team readiness, clear responsibilities, and consistent execution.

Raised in a family business

Marvin’s introduction to entrepreneurship began around age 10 in Marvin and Son Enterprise LLC, the family-run vending and janitorial company started by his father. The business provided services in settings that included small technical and career colleges. Marvin grew up helping build and operate the company alongside his father, taking on ownership and operating responsibilities as he grew older and continuing his involvement until approximately 2023. That experience gave him a personal understanding of the effort and responsibility behind running a business. M2 represents a continuation of those entrepreneurial roots, paired with the operational discipline he has developed in public service.

A firsthand connection to campus life

Marvin attended a Georgia university for one academic year, from 2020 to 2021. Having experienced campus life himself, he brings a student’s perspective to M2’s focus on practical connections between the places people live, learn, and spend their day. That personal connection complements Mikell’s experience bringing shared mobility vehicles to a college community.

Leading the daily operation

Marvin’s operational leadership spans both the Clayton County and Butts County Sheriff’s Offices. At Clayton County, he served as a sergeant and a member of the Special Response Team (SRT). At Butts County, he supervises a jail operations shift as a corrections sergeant, with responsibilities that include shift deployment, use-of-force review and documentation, and assisting training officers. Across both agencies, the work has required clear assignments, careful judgment, and accurate records—habits he brings to operational planning and accountability at M2.

Building capable teams and repeatable systems

Marvin’s work on Clayton County’s Special Response Team reinforced the importance of preparation, coordinated roles, and precise communication. At the Butts County Sheriff’s Office, he has written standard operating procedures, developed tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and implemented practical operational solutions. He also assists training officers. Together, these experiences shape his approach to M2: turn expectations into clear guidance, prepare people for their responsibilities, and build processes that can be followed consistently.

Experience under pressure

Before Butts County, Marvin served as a sergeant with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. He worked on the Special Response Team, managed high-risk housing and the Behavior Management Unit, and handled cell extractions and high-risk inmate movement. Those responsibilities called for coordinated teams, deliberate preparation, and precise communication in demanding environments.

Technology with an operational purpose

Marvin also authored a proposal to introduce unmanned aircraft capability into jail operations for perimeter security and contraband detection. That proposal reflects an interest in evaluating technology against a defined operational need. At M2, he brings the same practical lens to mobility and delivery: understand the problem, establish the process, and prepare the people responsible for the work.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR M2’S PARTNERS

For Marvin, a strong partner relationship depends on what happens day to day: clear responsibilities, prepared teams, documented procedures, and a dependable response when an issue arises. His focus at M2 is building the operating structure that turns the company’s vision into consistent, accountable service.
